SCI FI CLASSICS, Vol. 3 contains the 1935 big budget feature movie, TRANSATLANTIC TUNNEL plus a BONUS half hour sci-fi TV show from the 1950s, SPACE PATROL. A joint UK/American production, Transatlantic Tunnel has terrific art deco sets, cool effects and a reasonably smart story line involving the drama and travails of the tunnel's construction. Starring Richard Dix as McAllen, a visionary architect obsessed with building a tunnel from Europe to the U.S., the movie envisions a future world of cool self propelled cars and two-way TV communication. Also starring Walter Huston, George Arliss and Leslie Banks. Approximately 70 minutes. B&W. A "must have" for science fiction fans.
